How often do you allow yourself to hold onto resentment, anger, criticism, and guilt?
Obviously feeling happy, grateful, excited, and peaceful are wonderful, but part of the experience of life on planet Earth is to learn how to cope and deal with all the challenges that life can bring. However, that doesn’t mean you’re supposed to hold onto these heavy emotions and let them drain your energy!
Now let’s consider your physical body. It needs nutrition, water, healthy foods, vitamins, and all kinds of things you can provide your body, but what about the emotional food you continue to feed your body? What about the thoughts you feed your mind every day?
- If you are filled with resentment daily, that’s like feeding yourself poison every day and wondering why you feel horrible!
- If you are angry even 50% of the time, you are pushing your body to run a marathon of fight or flight mode that is exhausting.
- If you are critical of yourself, you are creating a pattern that will continue replaying in your mind keeping you stuck in a very low vibration as if you are feeding your soul garbage.
- If you are filling yourself up with lots of guilt, you are allowing shame to be your food of choice, which is like putting yourself in the boxing ring letting someone punch you repeatedly because you think you deserve it.
STOP FEEDING YOURSELF POISON!!!!!
For those of you who ignore your emotions and shove them down or brush them off, thinking they will just go away if you don’t think about them…….well, my friend, they will go away temporarily only to return in a different form again and again until you at least acknowledge them and work through the lesson.
If you continue ignoring your emotions they will eventually find a way to express themselves in the shape of illness or disease in your body. Allow yourself to feel these emotions now before they take over your body and start destroying your physical abilities.
Now I’m not suggesting you must keep your thoughts positive 24/7. But unless you want change in your life you will need to pay closer attention to what you are feeling and what you are thinking every day. Think of it as if you were making a choice to eat healthier and go on a diet or a cleanse. Begin to think of your thoughts and emotions as a big part of the nutrition you feed your body.
Forgiving yourself and others is the ticket to setting YOURSELF FREE!
Holding onto these heavy emotions and mental patterns long term can eventually create dis-ease in your body…….not theirs. Isn’t it time you truly put yourself first and take care of you?
This week pay closer attention to what thoughts and emotions you are allowing into your body. It may be time for a deep cleanse and a new diet for your mind, body, and soul!
Always remember, you are more than your pain, more than your scars, and more than your fear.
